Okay, I have a 95 Eagle talon ESI. My car has the stock air intake, you know the one that is a plastic box with the square filter inside it...What I wanted to do is complete take out the air intake box, and just attach a conical air filter (AEM, K&N) to the intake tube. Would that work? I want to get that sucking sound that the intake does when you accelerate. And also I want to increase my airflow. Will it fit? Will it work?

  1. it would probably work if you can find a proper size match. remember when you take out your old box it has sensors attached to it. try to order one specifically for your car so it has all the connectors for your sensors. otherwise you will have the engine light on  your engine might not run as efficient

  2. It will it and fit will work now about it increasing airflow it really wont do much for that unless u swap out the tubing wih it because most of them have those ridges in them and the other as K&N are smoothed out as you've noticed which helps ur airflow. I would say if ur gonna spend money might as well get the whole deal

  3. You probably could, but don't be cheap.. just buy a short ram or CAI (not from ebay).
