Can i use a copy of my birth certificate to get across tj's border line?

i am going to TJ today and i would like to know if i can use a photo copy of my birth certificat...i also have a california id....

please help me thanks...

aslong as you are driving in to the country you can use your VALID Ca ID for re-entry back to Ca.  If you are traveling with minors that do not posess a valid ID then you need to take an original certified B/Cert with you just in case the Officer requests to see it.  Note:  any issues attached to your ID will  be made known once your ID is scanned at the border.  SO if you have any unsettled issues that require your legal attention, I suggest you take care of that or make sure you are clear.  Have a nice trip!  Watch the roads and enjoy the weather!  Its perfect right now.

The border guards often rub the seal with their thumb to see if the seal is an embossed stamp.  If it's not, you're not crossing.
