  1. no---you need lacquer thinner,,,,for laquer based   paint or varnish,,,


  2. No you can't...enamel thinners  turps/mineral spirts/white spirits etc are not "hot" enough for lacquer based materials..it will "clabber up" as soon as you try to mix it..
