Can i use a microphone with this camera?

JVC Mini DV Digital Camcorder - GRDA30US

Thats the model and im wondering if it has a place where i can attach a microphone to it, or maybe the clip on ones,(where you clip them to your shirt for interviews ect..)

No mic-in jack.

The least expensive camcorders  - of which I am aware - available with a mic in jack are the Canon ZR800, 900 and 930. They do not have manual audio control so recording loud audio will continue to be a problem.

The least expensive camcorders - of which I am aware - with a mic-in jack and manual audio control are the Canon HV20, HV30, Sony HDR-HC7 and HC9.

A "clip on mic" is called a "lavaliere". This is the cheapest mic I would consider spending my money on:

The wireless gear I use (from Shure) is VHF full diversity to keep interference to a minimum... and about 3x-4x more than this.
