Definetly not... There are special cases in which you put your contact lenses to disinfect. It is very important to keep them clean, so don't improvise, microorganisms are not to be overlooked and these can only be removed by following a correct cleaning procedure for your contacts.

I once stored my lenses in a glass of water because i forgot my case. The problem was that in the middle of the night my mate got up and drank the glass of water, contacts and alll HAHAHAHHAHA.

I have also used the bottlecap of soda bottle and little saucers, or an egg cup

if your DESPERATE and have nothing else to put them in then only do it once and take them straight out as soon as you can. Then go to your optometrist ur next day and buy a case or something to put them in. Goodluck
