  1. no! you will blow yourself up the first time that gas fumes are in your engine compartment.

  2. I have a marine distributor (Bia certified!) with a vent screen on the side/bottom.

The only diff. I found was the rubber gasket under the cap

    (just my 0.2 ct)

  3. Oh you sure can use it. You better hope there is never gasoline fumes in the bilge. While the engine is running. Ther will be one heck of pyrotechic display of a boat blowing up

  4. NO ( that's the law ) a marine distributor has different venting to allow it to be in an enclosed compartment, IE, no fresh air running through a big radiator opening as well as open on the bottom like a car, that is also why you must have a spark arrestor on the intake. If you have a small fuel leak inside the engine compartment your vents will only blow the vapors around until they find there way out. And you don't want an exposed spark in fuel vapors. Remember gasoline doesn't burn, the vapor dose.
