Can i use a simple RF female to F male adapter to connect my composite video output to my RF input in TV.....

i am just connecting the composite video part of my output to that adaptor not the audio part......do i still need to use the RF modulator??

No.

You need a RF modulator or in some cases you can use an old VCR. While you can physically adapt the video cable to the F connector, the TV tuner itself can't interpret the composite video signal.
