  1. ive used a swivel with no problem casting 6oz weight sea fishing from the shore, there definatly worth using but make sure you use a stronge enough one


  2. Yes, just ensure you tie your knots correctly and it should help to eliminate line twist.  

  3. I'll use a snap swivel if I'm using premade rigs... It saves alot of tyeing time when I'm at the fishing hole.

    I'll use a regular 30# swivel and a bead when I'm not using premade rigs to prevent line twisting, and for sliding sinker setups.

  4. Absolutely, then your rig will have a less chance of twisting up.

  5. Yes it is a good idea to use braided line for the leader though.

  6. yes mate use a link swivel,it makes it easier to change your mane rig good luck.

  7. The use of a swivel is my recommendation. That will have one advantage of preventing line twist. I don't suggest a "snap" swivel because they add size with little real advantage.
