Can i use a water conditioner that comes with a goldfish starter kit for my betta?

I will be buying a betta fish but i am buying a goldfish starter kit becoz i do not like any of the betta ones i have found ofcourse i will not use the goldfish food for my betta but can i use the water conditioner that comes with the goldfish kit or do i need to buy a betta water conditioner?

Like the others have already said. yes you can use that water conditioner.

Water conditioners are one of the few fish products that are not tank specific. You can use it for any kind of tank, so long as it has water with chemicals in it that you need to remove.

One more thing you might need to get is a heater. Goldfish dont need them so the kit you got probably didnt have one.

Yes betta's can be kept in cold water, but they like 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit and they will live longer lives if you keep them in large heated tanks.

Nope...conditioner is conditioner. It's designed to react with the chemicals in the water without affecting the fishes you're keeping. My wife and I actually use the same conditioner for my marine tank and her freshwater tank.

Yes.  Water conditioners have to do with the chemicals in the water that need neutralizing - they have nothing to do with the type of fish.

Yes you may use the conditioner.  You can use this conditioner for anymore fish that you may get because it is supposed to condition tap water into livable water for the fish.  If you do not use a conditioner, however, your fish are at great risk and may possibly die.  Hope you have fun with your new fish!

i had the same question because im getting guppies and u can use it for any fish! its great and i have a betta and we used it for him to!

of course! It doesn't matter on the type of fish, it has nothing to do with the fish. the conditioner stimulus the germs in the water that kill or make your fish sick.
