stretching your earlobes has turned into a trend today and at 15 years old i have mine stretched to 3/4ths of an inch.

i want to make some money off this.

so my question is, can a wood lather (there the cheapest) be used to make a taper in a peice of 3 inch long acrylic ranging from 3/8ths to 2" in diameter?

if youd like a picture of what a "stretcher" looks like i can provide a link but you get the idea.

thanks

  1. You could buy the 'taper' for a lot less than the cost of the lathe.

  2. Yes. Certainly.

It would just take a little practice, I think...

You'd also probably want to get a bench grinder and a buffing wheel, and some plastic buffing compound. Otherwise it won't look that great.....
