Can i use adobe after effects with final cut express 4??

I currently use final cut express and want to add some effects.. I know you can make really awesome effects using after effects..

so what i really need to know is will the 2 programs work together, or do you have to use adobe premiere to work with after effects??

or is there an apple product that will do the same as after effects??

No you do not need Adobe. I use Final Cut Express and AE works fine with this.
