  1. no you can use any choose a good one if you want decent sound

    so long as the speaker setup is compatable with the audio out of your system then you're fine


  2. No it doesnt have to be the same brand .

    the same brand advantage comes in if u have a hdmi cable connecting the system and the tv .

    tht is when u can use the same remote for the tv and home theatre system for certain functions
