  1. Yes you can but using a .12 guage that is designed for trap shooting would be best.

  2. it depends wat u r trapping. If ur trapping racoons and **** u should just use a nice air rifle.

  3. Ribbed/barrel  over under.

  4. You can use anything the range will allow. What you'll be most successful with is another proposition entirely. See what the other shooters are using figure out what best suits you.

  5. Not quite.... You sure wouldnt want to use a Deer / Slug shotgun with a rifled barrel... It wouldnt be very effective and would wear the barrel out.....   I also wouldnt use a police or tactical type shotgun... The barrels to short, hence giving a too big shot pattern..... A lot of gun clubs have a minimum length barrel rule for competition use, so an 18 or 20 inch barrel police shotgun would be out of the question...... Most any other smooth bore and / or choked barrel shotgun would be fine. Doesnt matter if it was designed for trap / skeet or ducks... It will do the same thing....

    Lots of shotgun info here.....

  6. In the US you can use what you like: pump, auto, side-by-side, over and under or single shot.  Other countries may be a little more restrictive - like no autos or pumps.

The most commonly used shotgun for Olympic trap is an over and under. Italian shotguns namely Berettas and Perezzi are very common but there are others.

Down the Line Trap shooting has different rules.  Some countries only  allow a single shot while others have many different events that allow two shots.  You will need to see which discipline interests you most.
