yep you can , certain banks do not charge a surchage for using them now so it might be worth researching the banks in your area before you go so get the best deal.

yes u can.. each ATM or bank has its own surcharge so double check that before u get the money.. its easier to just pay with the debit or credit card..

Yup.  You will be fine, as long as you have a 4 digit pin.  5 digit ones do not work in Europe, but your 4 digit one will.  I used mine everywhere, and as long as the company name matches up, you're good.  Just remember if your bank charges extra for using machines out of that bank, it certainly applies in Spain.  (like $5.00/transaction, or whatever your bank charges), so don't go every hour and get $20.00 worth, go every few days and get the maximum.

Don't use your credit cards to get cash...they charge you 20-21% for cash advance.  That is NOT cost effective.

Not your own ATM - you should plan to use a credit card for all transactions.
