I have some BNC-6 left over from an A/V install and was wondering if i could use some of that for my car to run 5-channels (front, rear, and mono sub) from the head unit to the amps in the trunk.

I have the bnc connecters and can find some bnc to rca adapters... everything is 75ohm

  1. It will work fine.

    Here is the rule:

    - You can use video coax for audio

    - You can only use 75 ohm coax for video.

Cut an RCA cable, and cut a BNC cable - and they are identical wires, just different connectors on the end.

Audio signals dont care about impedance. The 75 ohm video coax works great as long as all the wires use the same stuff.

  2. It would work but your going to have trouble hiding those bulky wires in the floor.
