can i use calculus on the physics B ap test?

yes you can use anything you want as long as they aren't on the list of things you can't use (which is like certian calculators and such)

they can't punish you for knowing more than whats required

Yes, Proving how you found an answer can be done in many ways in physics and using calcullus such as integrals,  to determine the area. The Ap grading team do know calculus and will be able to follow your steps if they are clear and the answer will be accepted.
