  1. leoaprd geckos are desert spieces and say somethign like a crested gecko witch is jungle eco earth isnot the best thing for a desert animal  i would yous calci sand or a carpettt

  2. Do not use any kind of loose substrate with leopard geckos, as impaction is very common.  It is not natural to force a reptile to live in a confined tank on sand or anything else loose.  They cannot get away from it to eat or p**p, and this causes impaction and bacterial/parasitical infections.  In the wild they live in rocks.  Use non-adhesive shelf liner (which I use in all my lizard cages) which is cheap, easy to clean, and looks great (lots of colors and patterns).  Also good is paper towels or newspaper (not as attractive but safe).  You can also use ceramic tile to line the cage.

  3. I don't know if that's a great idea...they may ingest it. Plus it holds a lot of humidity. Eco earth is usually more for tropical species. I would stick with the cage carpet, paper towels, or very very very fine grain sand. I guess you could put eco earth down and put a good layer of the sand on top of it. But they may dig it up.
