  1. Yes but you are going to get charged a bunch of curency conversion fees and stuff.

  2. Canada uses ATM cards alot more than Americans.  In most cities you only need to walk a block to find an ATM machine, and 99% of stores accept ATM Cards.  Where are you travelling in Canada?

  3. ATM cards are pretty international.  the only issues are the number of digits in the PIN code, and how much your bank is going to charge you for the use of an out of system ATM machine.  And, BTW, if you are American, many border towns just use the monies interchangeably - or at least they used to, and they should all the more, now, because the exchange is so close!

And, just what is "canada area"?  Canada is a country.  There is nothing, to my knowledge, that they call an "area".

  4. yes u can use your ATM card in "canada area" as long as it has any of the Major "Maestro" or "Visa" or "interac" symbols on it...

but u will be charged some extra money for conversion and other fees... check with ur bank for details..

  5. As long as your card has one of the logos that are also on the machine, such as "Interac", "Maestro" "Plus", "Cirrus", etc.  Check with your bank, either in person or on-line, for information on the charges that may apply when you use your card outside your home country.
