I went to the eye doctor and i received a prescription good for one year. It's still good right now but i have slight astigmatism and they recommended toric lenses but they were going to charge me an additional $80 to get my prescription for toric lenses. Can i use my current prescription to order toric lenses online?

  1. If the prescription you have is for torics, then you can order them online.  If the prescription you have is for spherical lenses, then you will need to be fitted for torics.

I wear torics and the prescription for my eyeglasses is slightly different than my contacts.

My eyeglasses are PL -1.50 X50 and my contacts are PL -1.25 X60.  They are slightly different because a toric lens is not made in my actual cylinder and the lens rotates on my eye to 60 degrees rather than 50 like my glasses.
