  1. I dont think you understand the concept.  Negative means you ran over your available amount.  You have no money.

    NEGATIVE (MINUS sign) = ZERO = $0 = NADA = NOTHING


  2. Depends on how much you have in the bank to begin with. If you spend money on your debit, as long as its in there, it will go through. If you don't have enough money to cover something, it will be denied. So, if you bought something on line, you might not be able to get anything out of the ATM. If the ATM goes through before the place you bought something puts the charge through (and now you don't have enough left to cover) it will be rejected. Banks wont extend "credit" on a debit card.

  3. If your account is in the negative you shouldn't be able to get any money from an ATM; if there did happen to be a glitch and you did receive funds from an ATM, you would be in worse shape because there would be ATM fees (if applicable) and more overdraft charges.
