Can i use my netgear router with a macbook?

i am thinking about getting a macbook but i dont know if my netgear router will work with it.

so...will it just like a normal laptop wifi thing?

  2. Yes, all routers are certified for standards, and all Macs from old iMac to now meet those standards.  It will have no issues connecting, either wired or wireless.

  3. yes, you can definitely use a netgear router with your macbook.  i have the first generation of MacBook (black, 13") and was using a netgear wireless router the whole time.  it finally died bc it was 10 years old.  just plug your modem into the netgear and you should be good to go.  

      

  4. The wifi on a macbook is the same as on any regular pc. It supports up to 802.11n and is backwards compatible. I have a macbook and it works fine with my netgear router.

  5. Yes, as long as your netgear does G band transmission, you should be all set.
