Can i use my own mp3 songs as ringtones?

i just got a new phone Motorola rizr z3 (yes i know its old) and am wondering if i can use my own mp3s as ringtones for it

also how do i add my own ringtones

  1. It's not easy. You'll probably need to hack it. Here is a community dedicated to hacking phones:

    You'll probably have to get a USB chord for your phone as well. If you can't find an official one, there's probably an unofficial one on Ebay.


  2. I think the older phones are better. You definately can do it. Might need to do updates with Motorola when you install and get on the internet. When I got my one a couple of years ago I had to download updates.

    I find that most manufacturers 'PC suites' are inherently bad to use, its usually better to transfer directly to the memory card and then select the tracks from there. If you do need a manual you can download it online from the link below, just put in your phone model then it will open up a new page for you to view it
