Can i use my phone as an MP3 player after service cancellation?

If i were to end my Verizon Wireless service would i be able to use my

LG VX8550 Chocoloate phone as a plain mp3 player

would i still be able to use all of the mp3/video/camara functions

you can even go in and turn off the total signal to the phone so you don't accidently call ppl...
