  1. They will actually automatically deduct it from what you already owe.

  2. They deduct any taxes owed.  Thats why you had to file your tax return first.

  3. The IRS is not issuing the rebate checks, so they want you to pay the amount that you owe to them directly.  This is what they state on their website: www.irs. gov

The rebate checks are issued by the same department that issues social security checks.

BUT, if you owe the IRS money, when they transmit the information to the SSA, they will also transmit information that tells the SSA you owe the IRS money, so the SSA will send the rebate to the IRS instead of you.

  4. You must first pay any taxes owed to recieve a stimulus check.

  5. yes it is.

  6. Once you get your check you can do what ever you feel like doing with it? I would do it this way so that you can have a receipt for it.

  7. Yes you will get a check back if you are entitled and yes you can use it to pay your IRS back taxes.

  8. Sure if they give you a check.  But you'll have to deposit it and send them a check.  But you probably won't get a check if you owe them.

  9. Assuming that you receive a stimulus check (which may or may not happen), deposit it in a checking account, wait for however long the bank holds it before the funds become available, then write check to either the Treasury Department or the Internal Revenue Service (do not use the acronym IRS due to possible theft by a human with those initials), put your social security number on the memo line, and mail it to the IRS.

  10. The stimulus check will automatically be used to pay any debt you owe to the IRS.

  11. certainly

  12. If you owe i doubt you get a check, I believe they pay themselves first before you get anything.

  13. Sure why not ,its your money to do with what you want.

  14. I would assume if you owe taxes, you will not get a check back!!!
