Can i use my yahoo avitar outside of yahoo?

Yes you can.

Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com & sign in.  Click on the home page & on the right side are links to Import/Export with the codes for both short & long profile versions.

If you have a profile page such as 'myspace/bebo/hi5/etc, then it is easier to just copy & paste it into a blog that supports HTML.  Or you can save the avatar to a folder on your desktop & upload it into the profile section.

To get the avatar picture, you have to do it in a round about way, but it can be done.

-Go to http://avatar.yahoo.com & sign in

-Click on the postcard link, located on the right

-Right click on the avatar itself, select 'copy' from the pop up menu

-Go to your email compose area & right click in the compose section

-Select 'paste' from the pop up menu

-Right click again & select 'save picture as' from the pop up menu

-Save it in the file you want.  Be sure to save as a jpeg for easy uploading.

Only the avatar will show, not the whole postcard.
