  1. You could make an invert syrup with regular white sugar, but you may also be able to find Dextrose, or corn sugar, and could skip that step.

  2. what is a mr beer kit?..........i presume it is a beer kit......sugar is sugar...it ferments...before people started with all this dextrose and inverted sugar, people used regular white sugar.....use regular sugar...when you make the same kit again, use the sugar they suggest, i bet you cant tell the difference :)

inverted sugar is only sugar boiled in water anyway....

  3. Yes, but you'll need to turn it into a simple syrup first. Sugar in its natural state isn't fermentable. It must be boiled in water turning it from a monosaccharide into a disaccharide first...or vise versa I can never remember which is the natural state of sugar.

  4. Table sugar (as opposed to corn sugar) will give your beer a wine-like taste, which is a fault. However, if you are still using a Mr Beer kit, you may not notice it. Some styles of beer will benefit from the use of other forms of sugar, such as honey or molasses, but you have to know what you are doing.
