Can i use rub on wax on my snowboard and then iron it, would that be just as good as hot ironing it?

  1. No but it is better than nothing. In the spring, when I take a break, I put the bases to the sun, then rub wax on the base before I go out.  Not perfect, but it helps.  Just some tricks from the old war horse.  

      If you rub it on cold then try to iron it in, you will not get as much wax on the base.  Since the iron is hot why not just melt some on the base of the iron dripping it on to the board, and then iron it smooth.  No need to reinvent the wheel.


  2. No no no. You dont want to do that because the rub on wax is not really a thick coat. You will end up burning the bottom of your board. Rub on wax is used for a quick easy coat that can ware off in a few runs. You you want a better coat of wax, use the hot wax. Then you can iron it.
