Question:

Can i use something besides Sherry to moisten sponge cakes and flavor custard for a trifle?

I don't want to use Alcohol, wine, or liqueur

Its a raspberry trifle.

  1. You could use a light sugar water but where's the fun in that?  I'd use brandy myself!


  2. I usually use raspberry jam just beat it a little to loosen it =]

  3. You can cook the alcohol OUT of the liqeur and it will have the same taste but no booze!

  4. You can use any fruit juice. Or jam that has been heated and thinned with some water.
