  1. Diesel secret has ruined more engines.Always heat your oils before injectors.

  2. Not really you can use any organic oil to make bio diesel. You can mix lard, soy bean oil, and any other organic oil and it will work fine as long as you perform the transesterification correctly. www.biodiesel.org can better explain it but don;t worry about when I make it I use used cooking oil from different restaurants around town and I always get a variety of oils and I haven't had any problems.

  3. A diesel engine can burn any oil including lube oil.

  4. I DO NOT recommend Diesel Secret. It is pretty much cheap, bad quality methoxide(a.k.a. methanol and lye, the stuff used to make biodiesel.) Making fuel with Methoxide requires a titration to be done to find the exact amount of lye needed. In Diesel Secret they just throw some in, so your Vegetable Oil May still have some nasty Free Fatty Acid in it, which will do nothing good for your engine.

  5. If we are going to use any vegetable oil it should likely be soy, mainly because we grow soy primarily for its high protein content.

We should avoid growing oil seeds only for fuel, even though all  oil seeds do produce some food beyond oil.

But soy does have a protein with an amino acid balance very close to perfect for humans and hogs.

We would need to dilute the soy protein with other grains, since it would be too high for us to use as a primary foodstuff.

  6. You can run a large Diesel on almost any burnable liquid, but a small one--that is, for a motor vehicle--requires a fuel that's been heavily processed so it won't clog up the injectors and pump, which is something vegetable oils have a tendency to do as they oxidize.  The variety of oil is not important, but the filtering and processing are rather critical.

Unless you have a great desire to learn Diesel mechanics on your own, I'd heartily suggest you run your engine on whatever Exxon is selling.  They're lots better at making fuel than you are.

  7. all food fuels like ethanol actually emmit more CO2 becuase of process ing transportation, etc and it enourages those d**n farmers in brasil to cut down the rainforest to plant this food to "feed their children" instead they buy TVs and gold watches

  8. We still have a lot to learn about making Bio Diesel fuel.  The most important thing is to do your research first.  Many truckers are converting to bio diesel.  Most are using a blend of regular diesel and bio diesel as they test their engines performance and monitor for potential problems.  Soy Bean oil is one of the oils listed as a feed stock for the Diesel Secret Energy process described on their website.  Just keep in mind that the resulting fuel is only as good as your ability to follow their directions.  It is highly recommended that you research the problems people have had with this type of product so you will be prepared to avoid them.
