Can i use the Sims 2 PC on a mac?

I have the sims 2 for PC, but we just got rid of the computer i used to play it on. I have a mac laptop which is an iBook G4 which has version 10.4.11. i know that there's a software you can get for macs- but i don't really want spend lots of money on it if i never use it. Some people have said i can download a torrent version but that takes ages. Any suggestions?

There is a program for macs that you can use to play PC games on a mac and it's legal if you buy it.  It's called Crossover.  Search the apple store for it.

Probably if you run windows on Mac, but it might be a little slow.

Other than that, you would have to buy the Mac version.

Its Sims 2 PC for a reason PC only. You have to buy Sims 2 MAC. Unless you have a windows emulator on your Mac. Mac 10.5 Lepoard has the software Bootcamp, which lets you put Windows  OS on your mac. There are other ones that work better.

If you are running Windows on the Mac, then sure, you can use the Windows version. Otherwise, you will need to get the OS X version of the software.

I had the same problem.  I have a white ibook too and someone gave me that game for christmas but i wasn't able to use it.  They sell the game separately and specifically for the different type of computer.  One says Sims 2 PC the other one is Sims 2 mac.
