  1. Of course you can. Glass is still a glass material.

For microwave uses glassware must be pure without any metal particle, just clear glass,no color or painting on it. Because microwave does not like metal. It shall sparking and crack if the glass contain a small amount of metal power.

Conventional oven does not care about the metal contains in glassware. Therefore, glassware uses for microwave is also safe to use in a oven.

  2. give it a go ,let me know how you get on ,

  3. Probably not. You may notice that in the microwave, the plate itself does not become extremely hot; in fact, it only acquires some heat indirectly from the food being cooked.

The plate is not designed to reach the high temperature of a conventional oven, and it will probably break due to thermal stress.

  4. no you cant as it will shatter under the heat,

unless it has "pyrex" writen on it then its safe for a oven

good luck haha and buy a dish haha :P

  5. Only if it is tempered high-temperature glass.  Like Daniel says... Pyrex or equivalent.

Most rotating or stationary plates in microwave ovens are not, to my knowledge, heat tempered glass.
