I used to have a 4 in 1 Jardine crib and it just recently got recalled so we are getting a voucher for a new crib. we are trying for another baby so we don't want to set up another crib so we are planning on buying our 16 month old son a Toddler bed. We found the one we want but we are unsure how to tell if the same mattress can be used. Is there anyone that has been able to use the same mattress for the Toddler bed!??

please help! i'm going to the store tomorrow to get his toddler bed!!

  1. Yes

  2. When my daughter moved to a toddler bed, we used the same mattress that was in her crib.  So my guess would be yes they are the same size.

  3. Generally, you can use the same mattress. They are standard. Does your 16 month old climb out of the crib? If not, you may find that he is a little too young for a toddler bed. I found that it was safer and much easier for everyone to use the crib until my kids were around 3. However, if he is climbing out I would get the toddler bed.

  4. usually crib mattress does fit toddler beds . i had several and they all took crib mattresses . You can also ask at the store where you go to get it at. .. they will know what type mattress it takes

  5. Yes... crib mattresses fit in toddler beds.  I would measure your mattress and take the measurements with you when you pick out a toddler bed, just to make sure it'll fit.

  6. Most toddler beds take a standard "crib size" mattress. There are exceptions, of course, but most fit the standard.

  7. Most toddler beds take crib mattresses, yes.

  8. Look at the tag on the mattress. It should have the measurements on it. Write it down and take the paper with you when shopping for beds.
