Can i use the same software for most digital cameras?

Hi all, i have bought a second hand camera for my cousin.e

Just wandering it it will work with my a software designed for a different camera. i mean the drivers.

as a rule most digital cameras will usually run ok and download ok without dedicated software.

Most, if not all, software which comes with cameras is not camera-specific or even brand-specific.  

  

It usually has a filing system and perhaps an editing program, (certainly not 'drivers') and in my experience is a waste of hard drive space.

Since you didn't tell us what cameras (still, video, hard drive, flash memory, miniDV tape, DVD, whatever other storage formats are out there) and you didn't tell us what computers, it is impossible to know for sure.
