Her teeth get stuck to the carpet when she misses the cricket so i need to switch but i know sand is bad, but i also want it to look better than newspaper and paper towels.

  1. tile slate etc are all good look nice too and are easy to clean

  2. Use shelf-liner without adhesive, or  untreated terracotta tiles. Tiles can give your terrarium the desert-y look of compacted clay without the impaction issue and the same easy cleaning of simpler substrates.

Don't use any type of sand. Calci or other kind, they're actua;;y pretty bad for your leo.

  3. Ive never heard of anyone use carpet in a vivarium before, i cant imagine thats a very good idea to be honest

isn't it normal to use bark for substrate or chip wood... also it has to of been treated properly.... I think your better off going to the pet store and buying something more suitable.

oh I just thourght... if you want sand you can use calcium sand. then you dont have to worry about them accedently eating it, it will actually be good for them
