  1. Not recommended, unless you would be playing absolutely indoor.

Volleyball shoes were designed to be used indoor. You may wear them for indoor badminton games, but to play tennis outdoor would get them worn out pretty quickly.

  2. It would depend what surface you are playing on. If it is hard court I would say no.

I played both volleyball and tennis in the past and had quite a selection of shoes. The volleyball shoes over time became a lot more sturdy and provided good cushioning. They are however made for indoors.

Playing tennis on a hard court surface just chews up volleyball shoes. I can speak from personal experience.

So assuming you are playing on hard courts don't wear the volleyball shoes. If on the other hand you are playing on artificial turf or clay you could maybe get away with it.

  3. NO tennis and volleyball are my two favorite sports clay and grass courts are both bad for volleyball shoes it will ruin the traction on your shoes...i once played in a tennis tournament with my volleyball shoes because my tennis shoes got to small and with all the stopping and going and running i put a hole in the shoe and we had to run to wal-mart to get a cheap pair to last me through the rest of the tournament so your answer is no

  4. I wouldn't. . .

Volleyball shoes are constructed to take different stressors in different areas.  Tennis shoes are a more sturdy shoe when it comes to court play.  Volleyball shoes are made to be light, flexible, and take some latteral movement.  Tennis shoes are made to take the hard pounding, a lot more lateral movement, and allow for quick direction changes.

If you haven't wore them yet, take them back and explain your error - I am sure they will be happy to help you find the right pair. . .

    Good luck!!!!

  5. Hi - Sure you can use them.  Volleyball shoes should be designed to provide cushion from jumping and extra ankle support.  Back in college we used to get cross-traininers because the volleyball branded ones were more money.  Couldn't tell the difference.  They should work fine on the tennis court.

    Good Luck
