I am going on vacation to my fiance's family's cottage and we are bringing my 5 week old with us and they have well water. I am bringing distilled water to make the bottles, but will it be fine to wash the bottles and nipples in the well water?

  1. no if its a case of washing the bottles why not buy a pack of steribottles then they are ready and sterile no need for cleaning then dispose when used

    all supermarkets uk sell them

  2. i currently have well water. I have a 2 year old and an 8 week old i used well water to wash both of their bottles i just bought infant water to make the bottles.

  3. my best friend has well water where she lives and she used to wash her babies bottles and to mix formula and never had any problems the only bad thing about well water is there is no fluoride (?spelling) and there are drops you can add to the water for that but seeing as u are only there on vacation there will be no harm done

  4. I am assuming at 5 weeks you are sterilizing the bottles still?  You can wash in well water and then sterilize in well water.

  5. Boil it, and you are good to go! Better safe than sorry in these situations!

  6. I wouldn't use it unless you boil the water first.

  7. As long as you boil the water first

  8. Well water can have bacteria and nitrates.  Has the water been tested for these things?  If not, you may want to make sure to boil the water and cool it before you use it for washing.

  9. I'm pretty sure it is but i would boil the water before you wash them to be on the safe side!!!

    GOD BLESS

  10. I have well water and never had a problem have fun.
