Can i visit someone in stateville prison if I'm only 17 or do i need someone 18 to take me?

No, you cannot.  You are a minor and need adult supervision.

At stateville you must be accompanied by an adult, and you must be on his witness list, if you can get an adult to go with you make sure you are n his list and he will probably have to list you as a relative since you are under 18.~
