You may be just a little too young yet.  At Jefferson, the minimum age for volunteers is 14.  But they do encourage volunteers, and you can call 215-955-6222  for more information, or look at this Web page:

At Children's Hospital, you have to be at least 15 to volunteer for clerical work, and at least 16 to work with patients.  But again, they use lots of volunteers, so you might want to look into it when you get to be 15.  The volunteer coordinator's phone number at Children's is 215-590-1093, and their e-mail address is [e-mail].

It's great that you want to volunteer.  I really hope that you get to do it next year when you are eligible.
