Question:

Can i wear contacts again?

Before, i over wore my contacts, and probably slept in them a couple of times. BAD CHOICE. My eyes were red, sensitive to light, kept tearing up, and my vision blurred. At that time, my optometrist wasn't able to give me a glasses prescription that allowed me to see 20/20 (because of how my vision kept blurring). It's been a year now, and after i got my vision checked up. the optometrist said my eyes were all better, and my new prescription actually allowed me to see 20/20 =)

I think that i am more responsible to wear contacts now,

do you think i can/should go back to wearing contacts?

  1. Probably, just don't do the same thing again. That same thing happened to me before and i just started wearing glasses and now i only use contacts for sports. If you've been wearing glasses for a year now what's the point in wearing contacts again?

  2. I hate to say this, but I think you may have had an allergic reaction to the things you were using to soak or disinfect your lenses.   That is the red eyes and sensitivity to light.  I have scars on my eyes from that.  I can wear contacts, can't clean them.  I wear the extended wear and throw them out.  There are drops (individually packaged, without any preservatives) which I can use to keep them moist.  Go ask your eye care professional, but my guess is that if you avoid the preservatives, you will have better luck.
