Can i wear contacts with this prescription?

i am nearsighted (2.00 and 2.25) and i have glasses, i don't wear them on a daily basis.

can i get contacts? or would it be not necesary, because i get dizzy from wearing glasses for too long?

  1. I got contacts and one of my eyes was -1.50 so I don't see why you can't at -2.


  2. No i don't think so your perscription is not strong enough for contacts sorry!

    I know what a pain glasses are I have to wear mine too!

    My perscription is not strong enough either.

    Except i am farsighted.

  3. Of course they are strong enough...contacts start at 0.50

    You will have to check with your eye Dr. for a trial fitting, to see if you would even like them.

    You would probably like the clearer vision all the time, without the hassle of glasses.

  4. Manufacturers make lenses for prescriptions far less than yours.  I'd say go for it...the vision correction is more "natural" than glasses and you'll see better and have less hassles than with glasses.
