  1. Yes, wearing cosmetic contacts under  prescription glasses is okay.  Have you considered getting prescription contact lenses?  In my experience, prescription contacts are a nice accessory & can be used for special occasions.  I have both, and prescription lenses are less expensive than cosmetic lenses.

  2. Yeah that would be fine!

Plano (no prescription) lenses cost the same as prescription ones.  It would probably be more cost effective to buy daily disposable colour lenses.  With monthly coloured lenses, they have to be thrown away after 30 days, no matter how often you wear them as the materials they are made of starts to break down.  Yearly soft lenses have to be cared for really well and you would end up spending alot of money on solutions (you should clean them and change the solution every day, even when you don't wear them, to keep them nice and clean and prevent bacteria growing on them).  The daily disposable lenses are have expiry dates that are about 2years long! 30 pairs could last you 6 months if you only use them for social use!

  3. plano (non powered) 'cosmetic contacts' are prescription devices and cannot legally be sold without proper fitting and a prescription. Since you must, unless you plan on both illegally purchasing a product and risking your eye's health to save money, get a prescription, and because plano and powered lenses cost the same.. you might as well get powered ones.

If for some reason you simply like the look of your glasses, yes, it's fine to wear properly prescribed non-powered contacts underneath glasses.

  4. Cosmetic contacts would be fine to wear along with your prescription glasses.
