  1. Yes you can.  Dress during the day is very casual.  You can also wear jeans and a t-shirt if you eat dinner at the buffet.  However, the t-shirt will not be well accepted in the dinning room for dinner.  The following is from Royal Caribbean's website ...

Q:   What are the dress codes onboard?

A:   There are three distinct types of evenings onboard: casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are:

Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men, sundresses or pants for women

Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or pantsuits for women

Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for women

  2. I would think so. Have been on the Sovereign, Mariner, Enchantment, and Radiance and it was permissible on those. You're discouraged from wearing them in the Dining Room, however, but they're not banned. (all Royal Caribbean cruise lines)

  3. Yes! You must wear proper attire at dinner though! And be sure to take formal clothes for the last night! Here's a site that may help... =)

  4. During the day, sure, no problem.

And it will be fine at night anywhere except the main dining room.  That is, if you go to the buffet instead you're fine.

Here's what we observed on RCI:

    - On "casual" nights my husband had no problem wearing jeans and a nice button-down shirt.  Technically you're not supposed to wear jeans, but I don't think they really care.

    - On "formal" nights they want people to dress up.  Technically they say a suit.  Khakis and a blazer are usually fine.

Also, on formal nights they "technically" want people to be dressed up in the bars and show lounges, too, but apart from the dining room I never saw anyone told to go and get dressed up.

In general, if it's a shorter cruise (especially somewhere warm) they're more lenient and allow stuff like jeans in the dining room on casual nights.  If it's 10 days+ they stick more to the "technical" side of the rules.

    Have a great trip!
