It's summer time, so i need to know if its ok to wear them not just at the beach but in the water. i live in the Caribbean and it is extremely hot where i am. but what if they get wet. does it matter.

Also any recommendation on another type of Avenue contacts i can wear if need be.

  1. You can lounge on the beach with your contact lenses on (just keep your solution on hand in case you get some sand or foreign material in your eye), but don't go in public water with them on!

If you want a lens that you can go swimming with, I would HIGHLY recommend daily disposables.  Those are lenses that you wear for a day and then throw away! This way you don't have to mess with storing them (and therefore possibly incubating some nasty bacteria that came from the ocean...eeewww)! PS Acuvue makes a daily dipsosable lens.  Ask your doc about that.

  2. Yes, do use dailies lenses. They are good for using it for one time at the beaches

  3. I would say that you can because I have them to and all I have to do  is take them out if I am going into the water because I swim with my eyes open. Just take your contact equipment: holder and solution.
