i have daily contacts, but i have run out of them. i rang my opticians today and they wont have any untill at least tomorrow evening. but i need them for tomorrow day because its p.e and were having our photos taken at school. plus im as blind as a bat so i would probally end up being killed without them! so i was wondering could i use the ones i have worn today for a few hours tomorrow, if i keep them in a soloution overnight? and could i use somthing like salt water as a soloution so they dont dry up? pleasee helppp :) thanksss!

  1. one day -ers are what they are- you can use again temp' until you renew   make sure their clean

  2. no, never re-use the lenses

  3. i wear dailys and if i run out i use them again but DONT use salt water!!!

Boil water then leave till its cool soke over night. but dont use dailys like this for more than 2 days!! xox

  4. You sure don't have any pair of glasses anywhere?? because I am so blind without my glasses too! I don't think you could use a daily contact again! It's risky, i believe! In the end if you can't do anything about it, u should stick to your best friend or sm1 you trust until u finish your day...maybe that's much better than bumping without contact lenses or glasses! Best wishes, dear!

  5. You must go to a pharmacy and get some multi purpose solution, like RENU, or Opti-Free, or Complete, to store them in.

Those solutions will disinfect them and is the only safe way to wear them again.

Your optician doesn't have a trial pair of 2 week, or monthly disposables to tie you over meanwhile ?

  6. Definitely not. Best to wear your glasses (you must surely have a pair somewhere) to school then whip them off before the photo. If you get an infection or damage the surface of your eyes you won't be able to wear your contacts for ages, so it's not worth the risk.

  7. I wear my daily lenses for weeks--and if properly cared for, they WILL last weeks.  Use a daily cleanser and then a solution such as Renu to store them in at night.  But, don't store them in anything other than a pre-prepared solution bought from a chemist, or they will balloon to multiples of their correct size and be completely useless.

  8. i've done it a few times. make sure its solution not water or anything else!!!

  9. I really wouldn't risk it, daily contacts aren't meant to be worn more than once and I've got a nasty eye infection from doing similar.

But it depends how desperate you are not to wear glasses...

    :D
