Can i wear shorts while i swim?

as a girl do u think its ok to wear a tank top nd rlly short shorts [not guy shorts] to swim..iz it necessary to buy a swim suit n all?

I haven't bothered with buying a suit in years. Shorts and a shirt work great for me. Make sure you can move easily in whatever you wear.  Also, sometimes shirts float up, so wear a bra that won't embarrass you!

well it depends what color your tank top is. If it is white, I suggest you to not wear it. short shorts are ok but still I think you should still buy a suit. There are those 2 piece suits that come down to your waist and sometimes even come with short shorts to put over the bottom piece so it looks like a tank top but just with a little skin showing, and short shorts.

just basically wear what is comfortable and usually wearing regular clothes in a swim pool is really draggy/ hard to move. Hope you find out what you want! <3

I DO IT ALL THE TIME

JUST REGULAR SHORTS AND A DARK TANK

CAUSE SOME LIGHT TANKS YOU CAN SEE THROUGH

I really don't think it's necessary. I'd say the only thing that matters is that you're covered and any sudden movement won't display 'your stuff' to everyone. I guess as long as the shorts are well-fitting and of course you have underwear under your shorts, then you should be fine. I'm a guy and I dont wear swimming trunks.. I just wear basketball shorts with boxers under them. Just be comfortable.

yeah, i do it all the time.  almost everyone in the public pool here wears shorts & tanks.
