  1. As long as you have the ability to make your own decisions, you can do so.  And this includes changing your mind.

    You may need to do this in writing though, as verbal is less tangible.

    If you don't agree with a diagnosis, written or not, it is also your right to seek a second opinion.

  3. By federal law, and as part of the HIPPAA regulations, you have a legal right to withdraw consent to release information and you do not have to supply a reason. It's called "revocation of consent", and you must do it in writing; the actual statement is that you have that right "except to the extent that information has already been shared"--in other words, they can't take back what they've already disclosed, but they are prohibited from sharing anything further. You have to do it in writing though--agencies should have a form for this, but if not, you can write a statement:  "I hereby revoke authorization for __________ to share information with ____________ and expect no further communication will occur as of this date:__________. "

  4. sure,but if your dr is like alot of these asses connected to other facilities he put it on the computor and now what???i wish you'd let me know because now when i go to the er for a broken rib they send in the mental health idiots,and im being kind.
