  1. s***w  thier employment contracts, and any sort of ''moral'' issues someone feeds to you. the point is you have to make a living. you are a sales person---thats all.

if either of them loved you that much they would give you better pay and better hours. Go for it.

  2. Yes but u should your manager first

  3. Yes you can work at 2 competing companies. It is not your fault they compete against each other. You did say Lane Bryant cut your hours. So they cut your hours and now they want to dictate where you can work. I don't think so. It is not easy these days find a job. Honestly I don't think Lane Bryant cares where you work. Get a job even if it is with a competitor. The working at a competitor issue comes in to play if you are a big time executive and you want to go work for a competitor. The fear here is that the big time executive  knows the shortcomings of the company he left and will use that knowledge to help his new company.

  4. generally managament frowns on such things--check with them first -particullary when you arre working so few hours

  5. Read your employment contract, if you signed one.  Most have a clause against working a competing company.

On the other hand, most at will employee/employer relationships can be terminated at any time for just about any reason.  So, if they find out, they can terminate you.
