Can i work in australia under a 676 visa?

i may be moving there in a month or so under the subclass 676 visa and need to work while im there. will i be allowed to, or am i only allowed there as a vacationer?

  1. Absolutely not.

    A 676 visa is a tourist visa. If you work and get caught (and many illegal workers DO get caught), you will be deported at your own expense and will be excluded from obtaining any Australian visa for at least 3 years. It will also make any future visa applications far less likely of success.

    If you need to work while you're here and wish to stay for less than 12 months, you could apply for a  Working Holiday visa if you qualify for one. You must be between 18 and 30 and they are only available to young people from certain countries and under certain conditions. Check

    If you intend moving here permanently, your ONLY option is to come as a skilled worker.

  2. NO you are not permitted to work while on this visa..........676 is a limited stay visitor visa. (3 months)sometimes it can be extended to 6 months

    you can not move to Australia on this visa either.....you can just visit then you must leave when the visa expires

    if caught working or overstaying you will be sent home and it may affect you getting another visa in the future
