  1. Hi! I'm Italian... I don't think it will be easy for you to find a job here if you don't know Italian...

    Ciao! :-)

  2. from the burocratic part, better ask required procedures straight to local Italian embassy; sicne youìre not a citize from European Union, you need a visa and if you want to stay (to live) in Italy, way better you have a work, yet.

The language is likeable to be a problem: unlike other european Countries (especially northern ones) english is spoken just by 20% of local people. so is mandatory you begin learn italian

On the other side, arabic is quite useful in some job area, Italy has strong commercial relation with middle-east Countries (for instance, there's a great request for arabic speaking people in textile area).

  3. It's possible, but won't be easy. Like others have said, many Italians themselves are looking for jobs.  And not knowing Italian makes it more difficult.

That said, I did meet a Kuwaiti working for Q8 Petro in Rome, and he didn't know any Italian. He had recently finished his MBA in the US, got hired by Q8 in London, and was transferred to Rome.

He must have had some skill sets that weren't available in Rome.  Try to think how you can separate yourself from everyone else....what's your "unique selling proposition?"

By the way, here's a link to Q8's list of office's in Europe. You'll find on there a list of contact info for their offices in Italy:

    http://www.q8.com/office_locations/offic...

Not sure if you have an interest in this industry, but if so, why not give them a call or send them an email to see if they are hiring?? What's the worst they can say?

  4. Same everywhere else

    GO LOOK FOR ONE!!!

  5. Well, you will have to have the required documents.....such as a specific type of visa, which allows you to work and stay in that country for long periods of time. Then you will have to apply for a work permit. Then once in Italy you will have to register with the police office and apply for "permission to stay" papers. I'm assuming that since you live in Jordan, you are not a member of the EU....so, you must go through all of that if you want to live and work in Italy plus more (housing papers and so forth).

About finding a job? It will be difficult. It is hard enough for Italians to find jobs.....maybe being able to speak English and Arabic will be a plus. Try finding a job in the tourist industry, where you will be around a lot of English speakers. But, if you want to live and work in Italy you really need to learn Italian.

  6. martox45....you must have papers, it is illegal to work with just a passport.

Call the Italian embassy in your country. They will tell you...

  7. If you've Italian passport there are no problems of permissions,papers.etc. being the main issue to find a job.

There are a lot of multinational, mainly in the informatics field that are not requesting you're Italian speaker but,as everywhere in this world, you need to be lucky in finding it at the first hit.

However with yr English and Arabic + computer knowledges I guess it will be not so difficult to find a job for instance at companies like BP or Shell or AGIP dealing in the oil business.

This could be one of the many possibilities that yr curriculum vitae should allow you in our Country.

  8. First learn the language. Your going to have to make a few trips out there to find a job, a house etc.
