  1. Yes, as an international student studying in Canada you have two options.

    1) You may work on-campus, without a work permit provided you are a full-time student.

    2) You may work off-campus, for no more than 20 hours per week during semesters and full-time during the holidays bu a work permit is required.

  2. I found during my stay at a canadian school I found that I was only able to work on campus. I got a job in the kitchen and did okay.

Although they say you can work off campus 20 hours, it is hard to go through this process and get the paperwork you need.

What I ended up doing was some babysitting, house sitting, pet sitting and odd jobs to earn money while also working on campus. The odd jobs are nice too because they are tax free and depending on what part of Canada you are studying in, the taxes can be pretty high.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Canada, I really did but am also glad to be home now!

  3. well, it depends on what kind of permit do you have.

of you have study permit, you cannot work except working on-campus (where you study). but if you have work permit, you can work and study.
